Delivered cost versus list price

The problem with list price

List price is what the tile shows. Delivered cost is what you actually pay after shipping and fees. Confusing them is how “deals” disappear at checkout.

What Routes puts in one row

Delivered cost

Delivered cost is the number after shipping, fees, and the seller's extras, not a tease that changes at checkout. Routes shows it beside wait so you can weigh money against time without opening ten carts.

Wait is the honest timeline: ship days, pickup windows, marketplace handoffs. Hiding it until the end of the funnel is how people overpay for speed they never needed.

Paid placement can exist. It cannot buy the sort order. If a route is sponsored, the row says so. That is the referee’s job.

Paid status

Search is free because comparison should not be a paywall. Watch, Local listing, and Data feed are for people and businesses who need alerts, store presence, or a machine-readable graph.

If you only remember one rule from Land Best Deal: ranking cannot use paid status. Everything else (cost, wait, labels) follows from that.

Side by side, on purpose

Putting delivered cost next to wait is not a layout quirk. It is the product promise. Every route to owning a thing should be readable the same way: ship, pickup, marketplace, without burying the total.

Compare routes

Start with Search, always free. When you want alerts, store hours on collect today, or a data feed, the paid plans are labeled too. Questions: support@landbestdeal.com.

“List price sells the tile. Delivered cost settles the cart.”
